Ushindi provides the organisational support behind the Mviringo programme. The programme model strengthens existing chama leadership with support from county coordinators, mentors and trainers.
Working from the grassroots
Mviringo works with women’s chamas in informal trade and agro-artisanal sectors, combining practical learning, collective action and advocacy so women can strengthen their groups, livelihoods and participation in decisions that affect their work.
One programme, connected implementation
The programme is designed to connect locally led chamas into geographically based clusters, county advocacy hubs and ultimately a national hub. This lets chamas lead locally while working together across counties.
